Laya Etemadi was born in Tehran 1978. She has a music bachelor’s degree. She plays violin and viola.
She wins the first prize in the 1994 Fajr Music Festival, also the first viola player in Tehran’s Symphonic Orchestra 1995-2008. She was a music teacher in high school for 2 years.
She also played solo in Tehran’s Symphonic Orchestra in Germany and Iran.
She played at a Quartet in New York and Sacramento 2009-2010 with Daniel Barenboim and Divan Orchestra in Europe since 2007.
